Colusa County Breast Cancer Fund

This fund was created to retain locally raised money for those who are impacted by Breast Cancer within Colusa County.  The Colusa County Breast Cancer Fund is a pass thru account that allows anyone who wishes to donate money the opportunity for a tax credit and all money raised will be used locally to provide assistance and support to those in Colusa County who are impacted by Breast Cancer.

Lenard Green Memorial Scholarship Fund

This fund was created to honor the Grandfather of Lloyd Green Jr. by having scholarships available to Colusa County students with some agricultural background, irrespective of income with a passing GPA.  The selection committee will be made up of members of the Green Family, and the Community Foundation of Colusa County board members. To help fund the long term growth of the scholarship, and endowment fund has been established that will utilize 10% of the money raised by the scholarship fund to permanently fund this scholarship.

Eddie Johnson's Heart Disease Fund of Colusa County

Eddie Johnson’s Heart Disease Fund of Colusa County has been established through the Community Foundation of Colusa County with the goal that it will provide educational services, nutritional guidance and outreach for the residents of Colusa County who have been impacted by or who are concerned with heart disease issues.  Established by Eddie Johnson, this fund has been created with the vision in mind that it will provide educational materials, nutritional services, outreach and support for Heart Health.

Derek Jellison CDA

The North Valley Chapter of the California Deer Association (CDA)  provides recreational and other activities for all children.  However, the Derek Jellison CDA has been created for the purpose of permanently providing funding for activities provided through the Field of Dreams Event Programs, which focuses specifically on providing recreational and other activities for special needs children, children of veterans, and veterans of foreign wars, and these funds will be used in accordance with the goals and policies of this program.

Colusa County Senior Nutrition Endowment Fund

The Community Foundation of Colusa County (CFCC) is pleased to announce the establishment of the Colusa County Senior Nutrition Endowment Fund though the North Valley Community Foundation (NVCF), created through a matching funds grant provided by the Emil and Leonora Stiefvater Grant Program. By the terms of the grant, for the first $2,000 deposited in the fund by December 31, 2009, NVCF will deposit $2,000.  Beyond the initial $2,000, an additional $10,000 will be distributed to the five participating organizations, proportionate to what each received in donations beyond the initial $2,000.   Distributions from this fund will be used in accordance with Senior Nutrition Program policy.  The Senior Nutrition Program of Colusa County provided 10,088 meals for homebound seniors in 2008, and 2,100 meals at their congregate meal sites.

Children's System of Care Fund

The Community Foundation of Colusa County is proud to announce the creation of the Children’s System of Care Fund (CSOC) to provide recreational resources to clients and their families to assist them in participating in healthy social activities that promote self-esteem and community involvement and reduce the likelihood of drug use and gang related activities while providing tools towards wellness and recovery.  Services provided through this fund will be offered by referral only, referrals coming from staff of Colusa County Behavioral Health and will be granted only after review by the CSOC Fund Committee.  The types of services available through this fund are limited only by community availability and fund balance, with the largest number of expenditures expected to be in the area of sports, music, art and cultural activities and other coordinated youth activities.  All money raised will be used to benefit the your to Colusa County with preference shown for local resources.

The primary purpose of this fund is to provide funding for the Safe Haven Drop In Center Program, a program funded through Colusa County Behavioral Health and private donations and support.  The Safe Haven Program provides a safe, judgment free, supportive environment for recipients of care through Colusa County Behavioral Health

Colusa County Film Commission Fund

The primary purpose of the Colusa County Film Commission Fund is to achieve increased economic development in Colusa County and surrounding areas of influence by using the artistic and culturally enriching activities of film and other media production to strengthen the workforce, support the media production industry and attract media production to the area.

Eleanor Azevedo Memorial Youth Empowerment Service (Y.E.S.) Fund

The purpose of the Y.E.S. Fund is to aid Colusa County youth in the participation of recreational and self enrichment activities which will benefit their self esteem, build assets, create relationships and encourage healthy life style choices.
